Press release from the issuing company

Today Design Pool, LLC announced they will be exhibiting at NeoCon, the world’s leading platform for the commercial interiors industry. The event takes place on June 13 – 15, 2022, at theMART in Chicago, IL. This will be an in-person event with onsite and virtual programming. Based in East Hampstead, New Hampshire, Design Pool is the only pattern library created exclusively for interior designers, with a focus on commercial interior markets. They partner with digital printers using the latest print-on-demand technology to make customizing accessible to interior designers. Their printing partners can print any pattern from Design Pool’s online library of over 600 patterns onto various materials such as vinyl flooring, faux leather upholstery, acoustic panels, wallpaper, and more. In addition to introducing NeoCon attendees to their unique online platform and showing them how to use it, Design Pool will be launching a new collection of pattern designs, Invisible Threads. The inspiration for this collection was to use technology to bring the feelings of comfort and warmth that handmade textiles evoke to spaces requiring high-performance materials, such as healthcare interiors. The collection, designed by Design Pool founder and CEO Kristen Dettoni, began with original embroideries stitched by hand. Dettoni then used software to transform these embroidered stitches into digital designs. When digitally printed on the high-performance materials necessary for healthcare environments, these patterns resemble embroidery and handmade textiles. For residents unable to have physically tactile materials in their spaces, these visually textured patterns tap into the calming and pleasant memories embroidered textiles elicit. The name Invisible Threads comes from a Chinese proverb, “An invisible thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.” Dettoni hopes these patterns offer a sense of well-being to the people experiencing them and remind them of the invisible threads supporting them in their lives. “I believe that designers shouldn’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance. People in healthcare or senior living facilities deserve beauty. I am thrilled we can use cutting-edge digital printing technology to bring beautiful, unique patterns into healthcare interiors.” Design Pool partnered with New Hampshire-based printer LDI Interiors to digitally print these designs on EnviroLeather PRINTS, their luxurious, leather-like line of wipeable, coated fabrics. These fabrics use innovative technology in performance coatings and formulations and lead the movement toward sustainable, high-performance, less toxic fabrics. Design Pool will be unveiling Invisible Threads at NeoCon 2022. Find them on the 7th floor of theMART in Booth 7-3050. This event is free for attendees.
