It's such a comfortable and summery dress

Heading out for dinner and drinks in town is always a fun occasion, but it often takes me days to decide what to wear.

There's always that niggling thought in your head that you're either going to look too underdressed, too dressy, or feel uncomfortable and bloated throughout the night - especially after a few wines. With the recent change in weather, evenings are a little chillier and wet, which is why I wanted to find something that still looked summery but covered my legs.

It can be a real challenge to find something that's comfortable that protects you from muggy wet weather, but I think I've found the perfect dress. This New Look Orange Wavy Collared Short Sleeve Midi Wrap Dress is priced at £29.99 and it made me feel really put together and summery last weekend.

At first, I was a little unsure on the length of the dress being 5'3, but it actually ended up being perfect and looked great with a pair of heels. The one aspect of this dress I was really drawn to was the colours, because I absolutely love a pink and orange combo.

I'm a big fan of a colour clash, and I think with some fresh fake tan and bold heels pink and orange can look really good. I've been obsessed with the vibrant pair this summer, and although the wavy pattern on this dress was bold and pretty, it wasn't too out there, which I really liked.

The dress features a collared neckline with short sleeves, a wrap front and a tie side. The material is lightweight and woven making it the perfect option for warmer, muggier weather.

I don't actually own any dresses with a collared neckline but I really liked it as a feature. The buttons and tie front on the dress meant I could make it as lowcut as I wanted, which is a great option if you want to go heavy on the necklaces.

The midi design wasn't too tight on my body and it flowed really nicely making it the perfect option for dinner and drinks. Let's be honest, there's nothing worse than going out and having a few drinks feeling bloated and uncomfortable in tight fitted clothes, which is why I was so chuffed with this dress.

I knew wearing this meant I could enjoy my food and drinks without feeling wary, all whilst looking glamorous and put together in the process - what a winner! This dress definitely has a summery design to it, but there's absolutely no harm in wearing it with some chunky boots and a leather jacket in the autumn.

The best part? I can whack this dress out of my wardrobe come next summer, and even take it on holiday with me. I love a versatile dress, and this one is definitely a good investment.

New Look is absolutely killing it at the moment with their soft and comfortable yet stylish dresses and I'm so glad I chose this one for a night of indulgence. It's currently available in sizes 6, 8, 10 and 22 and is selling very fast. Find out more or purchase the dress for £29.99 here. Browse other New Look dresses here.
