Black Friday is more like Black November in 2021. We're only a couple weeks into the month and already the Black Friday 2021 sales are on at just about every major retailer, from Amazon to Best Buy.
Amazon got things started in October when the company launched its Epic Deals sale, an early Black Friday event with big savings on tech, kitchen gifts , the hottest toys of 2021 and more. Best Buy's early Black Friday sale launched in October as well, with incredibly popular deals on KitchenAid Pro stand mixers and Chromebooks, among other must-have tech. And Walmart's own early Black Friday sale, Walmart Deals for Days, is being refreshed every Wednesday in November with hot deals on great gifts. (Here are our favorite Walmart Deals for Days deals .)
And did we mention that Kohl's early Black Friday sale is on right now, too? And there's an early Black Friday sale at Target, too.
Simply put, it's a great time to be shopping for deals.
There's another important reason to start your holiday shopping now, if you haven't already: California ports, which handle 40% of the nation's imports, are facing a record backlog of cargo ships , and the trucking industry is backlogged as well. Our nation's supply chain is highly stressed , as well. That means you may not find the products you want as quickly as usual this holiday season -- if you can find them at all. Retailers from Best Buy to Nordstrom are expecting some stress related to port issues.
The cost to import goods is up too, so there's no guarantee that prices will get better as we approach the holiday shipping deadlines. If you see something that would make a great gift at a great price, a number of shipping and toy industry experts recommend you shop now -- or you might not get the item in time for Hanukkah or Christmas 2021.
