Leather is on its way to being one of fall 2022’s biggest trends. From pants and trench coats to dresses and tops, leather is everywhere in stores right now. If you want to cop the look for less, Gap’s high-rise faux leather flares are extremely popular, and they’re close to 20% off during Labor Day weekend.

The Gap Labor Day Sale is pretty massive. You can score 40% off regular-priced jeans, sweats, tees and activewear, plus an extra 10% off regular-priced styles with code TREAT. Sale items are an additional 50% off when you use code GOSHOP at checkout.

The High Rise Faux Leather ’70s Flare Pants are on sale for $72, marked down from $89.95. According to Gap’s website, they’re selling fast, too. Over 150 shoppers purchased them today (including myself). The pants come in a smooth, black faux leather with a zip fly and button closure. They also have pockets similar to Gap’s jeans.

As for fit, the pants come in short, regular and long inseams, as well as tall and petite styles. However, the product description says the style runs slightly big, so keep that in mind if you’re ordering.

“These pants are your dream pants! Pairs perfectly with sandals, heels or ankle boots! The fit is spot on and they look and feel amazing! Grab yourself a pair…you will not be disappointed!” wrote one Gap reviewer.

“Received my faux leather [pants] yesterday. Ladies, please add these to your closet,” wrote another reviewer. “You will not regret it. I am 5’10” [and] the long is right on point. I can’t wait until the fall arrives to wear them.”

I’m waiting to get mine in the mail, but I’m excited to wear them based on the reviews. I’ll probably pair them with a white tank top and cardigan in the fall and a chunky knit sweater as the weather cools. If you want to get them, do it before the Labor Day sale ends — or before your size sells out.
